WHY A JUSTICE AND MERCY DTS......?

Poverty and Injustice are sadly all too real for people today, when we read the Bible we meet the God who grieves for the poor, the marginalized and the voiceless.......

The 12 year old girl sold into prostitution by her own parents for as little as $10.

The 22 year old promised a career and a new start in a western nation only to find herself 1 of the 27 million slaves today.

The small boy left orphaned from yet another AIDS ridden family.......it does not have to be like this!

What is the Justice & Mercy DTS all about?  

Over 2000 verses in the bible speak of Gods heart for the poor, this is Good News! But what a challenge lies before today's followers of Jesus, to speak up and make a difference...to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly.

What does the DTS involve?

This DTS will be first and foremost true to the core values of a DTS. As you go deeper in your relationship with God, we will lead you week by week through different international justice issues, so that not only will we learn to hear His voice, but also know His ways for people today. We will then narrow the focus to 2 or 3 major issues of passion and action, potentially human trafficking and the plight of the orphan....

In addition to this, we are planning on sending YOU to raise awareness on these issues through speaking in churches and local communities as well as getting involved weekly in feeding the homeless here in Melbourne and helping young refugee children in a nearby neighbourhood.

Who is this DTS for?

This is not for the light hearted but for those of us that believe with the power of God upon us we will make a difference, in the life of the individual, families, media, and policy development amongst the nations!
