We here at YWAM Melbourne are committed to seeing revival take place in the city of Melbourne, the state of Victoria, and the nation of Australia, and we seek to achieve this mandate through our ministry, as well as through the equipping of the wider body of Christ to reach out to the lost, the broken, and the hungry.

The Vision

Melbourne, which is home to over 3.5 million people, has the privilege of enjoying the culture of over 140 different ethnic groups. This makes Melbourne one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world! The nations are here on our doorstep. Many of these residents are young people from nations where the gospel cannot be openly preached. They are in our universities and technical institutes, and many will return to their own countries after their education. We have the unique and wonderful opportunity in Melbourne to reach and disciple them freely. Therefore, one way to reach the nations is to reach our own city!

The Strategy

We're committed to seeing social reforms, personal changes in peoples' lives, and a Christian influence in all spheres of society. We do this through...

• Mission Adventures (2 weeks of hardcore evangelism, working with the local church)
• Prayer Station (booth in the city where people can stop for prayer)
• Blessing Boroondara (working in our immediate neighborhood, random act of kindness etc.)
• Mercy Ministries (ministry to the poor and needy, a biweekly soup van, and pampering nights for sex workers)
• St. Kilda (prayer, worship and evangelism in one of Melbourne's toughest areas)
• Youth Ministries (Kings Kids, kids clubs, puppet shows, face painting)
• Church Partnerships (pastors prayer networks, ministry requests, church services)
