Mobilizing Melbourne

Every Friday, our whole base hits the streets of Melbourne to share with people about the love of God, and the hope that we've found in him. Mobilizing Melbourne is the name that we've given to our Friday evangelism experience, as our hope is to eventually mobilize the body of Christ in Melbourne to be involved in regular evangelism. At the moment, we have 3 teams that go out each Friday.

Blessing Boroondara

The local area that we live in at YWAM Melbourne is called Boroondara. We believe that as we seek the welfare of our neighborhood, that God commands His blessings in this place. We have been involved in a lot of practical help projects in our neighborhood including yard work, home visits, babysitting services, rubbish removal, graffiti removal, and more. We are also involved in mothers groups in the area, neighborhood watch, and have put on several family carnivals as a blessing and outreach to our neighbors. We seek to display the love of God in a practical and faithful way to our neighbors through our Blessing Boroondara evangelism times

English Course

Melbourne is rated as one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Due to this, there are many immigrants that come here who do not speak English very well, or are looking to improve their language skills.

St. Kilda - SOUP VAN and SPARKLE

Each Tuesday night a team faithfully heads out to St. Kilda, where we run a soup van to feed the poor and the needy in that area. We minister to the physical needs of the people there, in hopes that there is a path created to minister to the spiritual needs evident there as well. We play live music, share our lives with the people there, and give out a lot of coffee, rolls, and soup. STUFF ABOUT SPARKLE
